Ann E. Hamilton

Anything can spark an idea. Current events, a trip into the wild, interaction with students, friends and even strangers can inspire my work. Sometimes it is simply the desire to explore a new medium or to take on a special project for a client. Through the years I have worked in a variety of media. I began my career in 1978 with a Bachelors Degree in Art Education and Studio Art from Southern Methodist University with a concentration in pottery and sculpture.

My quest into the digital arts began with my students in the classroom. Twenty plus years in public school education has taken me from the inner city to suburbia and into a poor rural community. When my students began asking about computer graphics, it was time to learn. As the Interactive Design field grew, so did questions from my students. I enrolled in the Interactive Design and Game Development program at the Savannah College of Art and Design, completing my masters degree in September, 2011.
Today I continue to work with photography and painting, and often find myself exploring a variety of new media.
