Born in Oglethorpe, GA, I discovered the lathe while attending four years at Berry High School and two years of Berry College, in Rome, GA. I specialized in industrial arts, especially wood work. I Paid my room and board through the six years of school by working 16 hrs a week. Work included furniture building and building maintenance. I was a draftsman at GE for 5 years, and thirty-four years as an aerospace microelectronics engineer in Orlando. Was a Real-estate investor Rehabber. I have a BS degree from Rollins College, and a MBA from FL Tech. I joined Central FL Woodturners in1999 and have demonstrated and/or shown my artwork at the Orlando Museum of Art, University of Central Florida, and the Alachua County Library.
